Challenge
The challenge of loading and unloading tooling machines for an automobile manufacturer laid in the high variety of workpiece parts and the specific arrangement of the respective devices.
Solution
As the solution, Zimmer Group experts used a servo linear axis for adjusting the gripper distances. For the problem of the different orientations in the devices, standard swivel units with a middle position were used.
